Teamsters Gear Up for Jobs With Justice
Meeting

Teamster members, leaders and staff are gearing up for this
year's Jobs with Justice meeting from June 19 to 22. Teamsters will join
hundreds of union leaders, rank-and-file activists, students, religious leaders
and community organizers from around the country. The meeting will provide an
opportunity to network with key local, national, and international leaders and
to learn new strategies for organizing and winning contracts.
"It's a great
opportunity to build solidarity with other union members and supporters,"
said Carin Zelenko, director of the Teamsters Office of Strategic Initiatives.
Workshops and plenary topics will include
§
Standing
up against corporate greed;
§
Immigrant
workers, immigrant rights;
§
Economic
justice;
§
Health
care justice;
§
Global
justice and the FTAA;
§
Building
religion-labor alliances; and
§
Workers'
rights boards.
